Project - recap
In March Joe went on a brief but
intense concert tour in England with the MOMENTUM Project, a UK/US
collaboration, performing the music of Graham Fitkin and Tim Garland:

SNJO commission
Joe is
currently at work on a commission from the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra:
"The Music of John Coltrane". Ten arrangers are involved in the project,
which will be premiered by SNJO director Tommy Smith at the 2007 Glasgow
Jazz Festival.

Recording Projects
 New Thomas Marriott release "Both Sides Of The Fence",
featuring Joe Locke
Once again Joe Locke has joined Seattle trumpet player Thomas Marriott for a
musical project and appears on two tracks of "Both Sides Of The
Fence", Marriott's latest recording, alongside Marc Seales (piano, Fender
Rhodes), Jeff Johnson (bass) and John Bishop (drums).

Joe Locke reunites with David Hazeltine
for new album
Joe is excited about going into the Studio with pianist David Hazeltine
again, for the first time since the acclaimed 1999 recording "Mutual
Admiration Society". The CD is going to be released on the Sharp Nine Label and
will feature Joe and David along with Eric Alexander, David Williams and Joe Farnsworth.
David Finck's upcoming recording
Later in April Joe will also be guesting on a CD project led by bassist David
Finck for the Soundbrush label. Completing the east coast / west coast quartet
are Tom Ranier on piano and Joe LaBarbera on drums.
