You can now easily buy Joe's latest release "Sticks and Strings" directly in our
online store.
For his new album as a band leader, Joe gathered the great talents of guitarist Jonathan Kreisberg, bassist Jay Anderson and drummer Joe LaBarbera to record these seven originals and two standards.
He created a 'sticks and strings theme', that goes much further than the musicians' tools it seems to represent.

Joe Locke's 2007 German concerts top Jazz mag poll
The editors of one of Germany's biggest monthly Jazz magazine,
JAZZTHETIK, have voted two of Joe's recent performances in Germany
into the number one spot as Concerts of the Year in the Best
On-the-Road category. 'Joe Locke at JazzBaltica 2007' and 'The Joe Locke
Quartet at
A-Trane (Berlin)'
made top positions in the annual ranking.

Golden Ear Award
nomination
for Port Townsend concert
Joe's concert at this year's Port Townsend Jazz Festival
has just been nominated for a 2007 Ear Shot Award in the 'Concert
of the Year' category. Furthermore, Seattle based trumpet player Thomas
Marriott received a 'Recording of the Year' nomination for his latest album
"Both Sides of the Fence", which features Joe on two tracks. Earshot Jazz have
been a great supporter of Joe's recent musical projects, presenting the Joe
Locke / Geoffrey Keezer Group with the '2005 Concert of the Year Award' for
"Live in Seattle".

Joe Locke
'Force of Four' in Bern (Switzerland)
It's been exactly 4 years since Joe has last played at Marian's Jazz Room in
Bern. This time he will be introducing a brand new band project on their first
official outing: Joe Locke 'Force of Four' featuring Robert Rodriguez on piano,
Carmen Intorre on drums and bassist Ricky Rodriguez. Joe is very excited to be
able to bring this new quartet to Switzerland.
Further engagements in the US are already schedule over the next couple of

Recording News
 "Exploration" - the TSYJO,
featuring Joe Locke
In March 2007, Joe followed an invitation by Scottish saxophonist, composer,
bandleader and orchestra director Tommy Smith, to appear as special guest on a
short series of concerts with the
Tommy Smith Youth Jazz Orchestra (TSYJO). The
highly successful Exploration Tour, kindly supported by Shell - bringing
together the most promising young Scottish musicians with the talents of Michael
Janisch (bass), Ryan Quigley, Tom MacNiven (trumpets) and featuring Joe Locke as a
special guest - finished in a recording studio in Glasgow.
The album "Exploration" will be released later this month and is going to be
available at Spartacus
Records.
